About
Community theatre in downtown Eustis offers something for everyone - new works, award winning comedy and drama, and plenty of music. Patrons will be delighted with the continued commitment to excellent productions and programming that has become a standard in Central Florida. From amazing sets and lighting to awesome volunteer actors and all the other volunteers, BSP is at the center of performing arts in Lake County. Join us in the beautifully renovated 1922 historic State Theatre for an unparalleled artistic and entertainment experience.
Bay Street Players provides entertainment, education, and engagement for the residents of Central Florida through production of the theatrical arts, allowing students and artists to learn and practice their craft.
Entertainment
The theatre offers a wide variety of entertainment to its community by presenting no less than five main stage productions each year, supplemented by a regular schedule of limited engagements, benefits, and other special events.
Education
The theatre brings cultural experiences to young people who have limited access to the arts by offering students the opportunity to learn in a live production environment. The Bay Street Players Young People’s Theatre program is the oldest of its kind in the state and among the longest running youth theatre education initiatives in the nation, having been in continuous operation for over 45 years.
Engagement
The theatre provides a creative outlet for volunteers of varied skillsets. Community engagement extends far beyond the theater’s walls with consistent participation in many local events: First Fridays, The African American Heritage Festival, GeorgeFest, and The Amazing Race for Charity, among many others.
